As a few of you know, things at the school were a bit unsettled, but there has been good improvement on that front as of late. We're finalizing our tickets to the States for the summer and are looking foward to getting caught up with many of you....
Mel's supervisor won a 2-night stay at a very nice hotel in Siem Reap, and he gave it to us. We took advantage of it about a month ago and took advantage of the opportunity to visit Kabal Speun - where the Khmer civilization had made carvings in a river bed. Although the water was low and grungy, it was still neat to see what had been accomplished there. Here are a couple pictures from that trip....

(as you can see, the river/stream/trickle wasn't at full capacity)

( We weren't exactly "roughing it" at the hotel)

We've had a long stretch (January-now) without a break, and are looking forward to the Khmer New Year in a few weeks. Mel is going to Hong Kong with our friend Sheree and her two girls, while Marc and Stuart (Sheree's husband) go to India. More updates to come soon....
