Okay - December has already come. Although snow has already hit much of the Mid-west, we continue to sweat away here... the rains have stopped for the season, but the temperature has yet to cool down. Since our last posting we took a group from school to Egypt for ten days. Marc also just got back (Friday) from helping to chaperone a leadership retreat with his juniors and seniors.

Other than that, Mel has been holding down the fort at the clinic, and Marc has been fighting his first serious case of senioritis. Unfortunately he failed to build up a resistence in high school and college, so this bout has hit him like a truck! Three weeks until we travel to Australia to reunite with our family there, and we're very much looking forward to it!

Here are a few pictures from our trips:

(Mel's view of Thebes from a hot air baloon)

(A mosque within the ancient Temple of Luxor)

(Melanie & Marc in front of the temple at Edfu. Don't be misled - although it looks like we were the only ones present, there were over 500 people crawling around the grounds.)

(This was as high as Marc got... this time)

Lastly - many of our friends are sending out pictures of new additions to their families, so we're feeling the need to share something similar. Here are some pictures of our kids:

(Here is our group in front of Hatshepsut's Temple near the Valley of the Kings. 17 high school students and 10 adults... a fantastic group!)

(More of our kids - all of our juniors and seniors on the last morning of our leadership retreat. How many of you can imagine 3 adults chaperoning 33 High School juniors and seniors for 3 days and 2 nights without one problem? We truly are blessed!)
